Standing up for Watts with a scorching signature style ready to explode this summer, buzzing Los Angeles rapper D3szn unleashes his debut In My Projects EP today. He locked and loaded the project with seven airtight 21st-century West Coast anthems. It opens with a hard-hitting throwback beat punctuated by finger-snaps during the warning of “Don’t Get Caught Lackin” featuring Juice. Guitar wraps around claps on “Show No Love” featuring Fredo Bang, while “Letter to God” offers a moment of raw introspection as he prays through autotune on the track, “Lord, forgive me for my sins.” It all culminates on “Red Rags” featuring YG and Mozzy. These three California spitters lock into a punchy groove with one last undeniable chorus.
He initially paved the way for the EP with “Mud Baby” featuring Kalan.FrFr and “Drip” featuring E-40 and OHGEESY, putting up a million total streams in advance of its arrival. Rising up out of the South Central neighborhood of Watts, D3szn represents another chapter for the West Coast. He sparked buzz with the likes of “Jump Out” before catching the attention of YG and landing a deal with 4Hunnid. He joined forces with YG on the anthem “Blood Walk” in addition to teaming up with Day Sulan and YG for 4hunnid Presents: Gang Affiliated.
Allow D3szn to welcome you In My Projects now.
