Drake returns to form with an album drop for the summer. “Honestly, Nevermind” is a collection of fourteen new songs along with a new video for “Falling Back”. It’s hard to believe 9 months passed since his last release since his songs have stayed in constant rotation but in this new climate of music, another drop for the summer was essential. The album begins with a whole entire mood shift from his last project clearly showing this one will be very different. The album is filled with dance-heavy vibes and showcases his range as an artist. Utilizing production from new collaborators and experimenting with different sounds that split the line between afrobeat, dancehall, house, and reggaeton. His melodic delivery is matured well beyond any of his previous albums showing growth that you would expect from a veteran artist. The album has one standout feature from 21 Savage rounding out the project. Production from Carnage, Black Coffee, 40, Kid Masterpiece, Tay Keith, and Vinylz bring a range of good vibes for Drake to showcase his lyrical abilities. Tune in to the project below as well as the video for “Falling Back” and let us know what you think in the comments. Stay tuned to HipHopSince1987.com for more work soon from Drake.
