In conjunction with the release of his new single and video, Headie One has released a debut single entitled, “Can’t Be Us.” In addition, Headie One has collaborated with Bandokay and Abra Cadabra in order to further enhance the collaboration. Featuring each of Headie One’s and DON Prod’s respective crews, the accompanying visual was co-directed by both parties. As part of the intro, Headie reveals some truth about the music industry:
The last body of work from Headie One was the 2021 album Too Loyal for My Own Good, which included the well-received singles “Beggars Can’t Be Choosers” and “2 Chains.” It follows the release of Edna, his official debut album in 2020 with contributions from Stormzy, Skepta, M Huncho, AJ Tracey, Young Adz, Future, Young T & Bugsey, Drake, and more. Commercially, that album was a success, taking the top spot on the UK Albums chart, as well as earning a Silver award. In the months following, he returned to update Edna with a deluxe version, bringing the total number of tracks to 28.
