A brand new EP entitled Everyday the 14th is set to be released by Deante Hitchcock on Thursday (Feb. 17). In addition to sharing the “Neck Up” single over the weekend, he shared a teaser of what to expect from his upcoming album. The song, featuring vocal contributions from Bairi and Dende, talks about an undeniable connection felt with someone and a feeling of joining up with them. The three artists make their voices heard over an airy instrumental:
In addition, Deante took a moment to explain what sparked the creation of the track: “I believe there’s something beautiful about selfless acts. It can put a smile on someone’s face, add joy to a difficult day, and bring color to a dreary place.”
Deante released the deluxe version of his acclaimed BETTER album last year. Among the initial guest features featured on the BETTER album are Young Nudy, JID, Miguel, 6LACK, and St. Beauty. In addition to the original 20-track album, Deante released a two-disc deluxe edition, which features additional music by Reason, Kenny Mason, Jaelspeaks, Ro James, and Guapdad 4000. Prior to 2016 and 2019, Hitchcock canceled his projects Just A Sample 2 and Good.
He has done this consistently for the past few months, posting freestyles as often as he can on his YouTube channel to maintain high engagement. You can hear clips such as “Wait Until Summer,” as well as his interpretation of Earthgang “Baptize,” Drake “What’s Next,” and Lil Wayne classic “Let The Beat Build” to serve as a constant source of inspiration for his #NewAtlantaTuesdays.
