What’s up Leafers? Welcome to the latest edition of On the Rise where we interview upcoming hip hop talent. Today’s guest is rapper, SpacityTrawww. SPACE’S melodic trap bars relay a stunning visual of his rap lifestyle. We can definitely see him performing on major stages such as Coachella or Rolling Loud. The rising MC is making a buzz in his city so we had to tap in with him. Check out the interview below.

Reporter: What’s up, Raw? Your sound is dope! When did you start making music?

SpacityTrawww: I started out just freestyling and posting back in 2020 , until one day the Head Coach of The University Of Arkansas Basketball Team Eric Musselman Retweeted a Video that went a little viral and gave me the confidence. Once that happened it shot my confidence through the roof and I haven’t looked back! So realistically, I started taking it seriously in 2021. That’s when my first single ever came out July 4th 2021.

Reporter: That’s dope! What city do you represent?

SpacityTrawww: Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Reporter: Shout out to Arkansas! So how did you create your stage name?

I put it at the front of my stage name because I take my city very seriously, I wanna be someone in my city that brings positivity, energy, and resources. I want to help change the outlook on my city such as bringing studios, music centers, extra curricular things like that to keep the kids safe and give them an opportunity. I’m only 4 years out of high school and I can count in the twenty’s how many classmates I’ve lost, its a dangerous city if you don’t have Purpose. As for the Trawww part (SpacityTrawww) I’m a huge Fetty Wap fan and I’ve Always said his sound is so Raw as in just god given talent. Also Justin Bieber, when he first started his YouTube name was KidRaul. So just a little homage to the people i feel helped me get through some rough times!

Reporter: That’s a dope name. It’s super creative. So how did your early life shape your interest in music?

SpacityTrawww: Coming up was hard, just like everyone else. From economic struggles, family problems, in and out of trouble, you name it. From the time I was 10 until now I always knew music was my calling but I always dealt with anxiety. In the past I weighed over 400 lbs and in 2020 I lost 180 lbs. I believe that’s what finally set me free to go after my dreams!
