Sambrum releases new song “Swervin Out”:

The music industry is an extremely fast paced and competitive scene, with most musicians having to more or less resort to trending genres to make it large. Yet today we introduce someone who dares to be different and is bent on making his music globally recognized.

Sambrum is one half of hip hop and rap duo UGP, along with producer and rapper Rohiit. However, as an individual artist Sambrum’s USP lies in his proficiency with the Tabla. The tabla is a classical Indian percussion instrument, and Sambrum hopes to highlight his Indian heritage with its inclusion in mainstream hip hop and rap music. Sambrum has been learning the tabla since the age of 3 and has also received training in Indian classical singing and playing the harmonium. However, he decided to stand out from the rest when he started rapping and began writing his own verses. At present, Sambrum is best known for his table rap freestyles, which are a new, never seen before combination of simultaneously playing table while rapping a verse that can be found on his social media accounts. With such advancements in music, Sambrum wishes to bring Indian-American representation into the mainstream hip-hop scene.

In 2016 Sambrum officially took off on his journey as an artist. As a part of UGP, he has had several hit songs under his belt. Their album “Brown Bulls” is a notable addition to this list, along with music videos such as “Neck” and “Sinhaasan” stealing the spotlight and going viral on YouTube. Sambrum has also been popularized through his stints on trending social media platform TikTok. Most fans would know him as the “RanKING” as he makes content based around top ten statistics. Sambrum’s active participation in other forms of media is a smart move to represent UGP and keep the buzz going, even during times of hiatus.

At present, Sambrum has already launched “Swervin Out” on the 26th of August as the first single release of 2022. Produced by LeftOnSeen, “Swervin Out” features rhythmic beats, melodic vocals and the perfect summer vibe. For those who have already heard the song, make sure to stay tuned for the official music video which is currently in the making. But hold on! There’s more to come soon, as Sambrum plans on releasing one individual song each month for the rest of this year. Of course, he will also be continuing to release music with UGP.
