With his new single “Skeleton Cartier” from last week, Popcaan returns with a production courtesy of The FaNaTiX and Dane Ray, in which the Jamaican star boasts about his wealth, legacy, and women.
Popcaan has announced on Instagram last month that “Skeleton Cartier” is set to appear on his forthcoming album Great Is He Great Is Me. Although no tracklisting has been revealed, the past year or so has seen a multitude of loose tracks from the OVO group, including “Jah Love” “Rich Symptom,” by Dre Island and Zamunda, “Medal,” “Win,” “Memory,” “Wine All Day” by Dunw3ll, “Brawlin” by Frahcess One, “El Gringo,” “Elevate,” “Jungle Justice (Part Twice)” featuring Imeru Tafari, and many others.
Popcaan’s last official mixtape FIXTAPE, which came out in 2020, was a collection of 19 tracks with contributions from Stylo G, Drake, French Montana, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jada Kingdom, Tommy Lee Sparta, Preme, and more. A year later, he returned to OVO Sound with Preme for the successful mixtape Link Up, on which he collaborated with BEAM, French, Davido, and Wiz Khalifa.
