Taite is the professional name of up and coming independent hip-hop artist, Carl Lamar David Taite Jr. The rapper made his solo recording debut in 2013 on SoundCloud with the mixtape My Story. That record introduced a skilled emcee from Detroit, Michigan with an impressive technique and an eclectic style. A series of successful singles and mixtapes followed, including Taite (2015) and Fuck It, Let’s Go (2017).
In 2021 he made his Spotify debut with the single “When They Find Me”. The song blew up. Since then he has connected with hip-hop fans around the world. With over a million streams he is a fast-rising star making a name for himself far beyond his hometown’s legendary rap scene. His most recent single is his biggest success to date.
“Here We Go” is the brand new single from Taite, released worldwide via all major streaming services on May 28, 2022. A dramatic and bluesy minor-key piano riff opens the track. Soon the beat drops on a slow trap groove. The rapper steps to the mic with a hard braggadocio drill rap freestyle. He calls out his haters and settles the score.
