Fireboy DML debuted his Playboy album at the beginning of the month, a 14-track collection with a variety of artists, including Shenseea, Ed Sheeran, Rema, Euro, Asake, and Chris Brown. In the days following the release of Playboy, it ranked as the number one album on Billboard’s Heatseeker Albums chart.
It was yesterday (16 Aug.) when Nigerian star Playboy released the latest visual from his upcoming album, this time for the song he co-wrote with Asake, “Bandana.” Video director TG Omori directed the recent bandana music video in a futuristic setting with Fireboy leading a group of supporters. A pair of inspirational lyrics are delivered by Asake and Fireboy on the track:
“Peru”, the single Fireboy DML released last year, helped him reach stardom. In addition, he later shared a remix that featured Ed Sheeran’s stylings. The rapper decided not to stop there, and decided to revamp the hit once more. Blxst and 21 Savage then joined him for the latest edition of the track, which was released shortly thereafter. As a result, Peru has received Gold certification in both the US and the UK.
