Hip hop’s most renown rapper Fobolous appears to be slowly making his way back to the frontlines with some new heat to add to his veteran peers’ arsenals. In addition to his “Coke Zero” release with Jim Jones, he is back with a freestyle titled “Cheerio Freestyle,” on which he delivers some nostalgic bars over the beats of Jovanni Beats:
A matching video for “Cheerio Freestyle” is now available on Shula The Don’s YouTube channel, in which Fabolous sips on a bowl of almond milk-filled cereal. As usual, he is sporting his top-of-the-line threads while enjoying a chill in the courtyard of his high-rise condo.
There have been three years since the release of Fabolous’ seventh studio album, Summertime Shootout 3: Coldest Summer Ever, the third volume in the highly acclaimed Summertime Shootout series. Among the record’s 16 tracks there are contributions by Roddy Ricch, Lil Durk, Meek Mill, Tory Lanez, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, YFN Lucci, Jeremih, Jacquees, Davido, Ty Dolla $ign, and more. Over the years, the Brooklyn legend has regularly performed freestyles and recorded remakes of classics such as Capella Grey’s “Gyalis.” His impressive style was also heard on tracks such as DJ Envy “Sittin’ In My Car,” Joyner Lucas “Still Can’t Love,” JAHKOY “Exes & Summer Flings,” Papoose “I Got A Plan,” Tsu Surf “Recipe,” French Montana “Didn’t Get Far” and Snoop Dogg “Make Some Money.”
