Wakko the Kidd partners with Empire Records for his latest release. Wakko The Kidd is not simply just a rapper but a musician, entrepreneur and creative who continues to make waves through a range of different industries. Whether that is penning his latest release AIRHEADZ, or focusing on his ever-expanding cannabis brand through Wakko Exotics; one thing is clear: Wakko is here to stay and he’s making some noise.
AIRHEADZ, like so much of Wakko’s journey so far is not shy and retiring but rather a boast-heavy celebration of everything that he is. Featuring none other than Flint Michigan’s recording artist Louie Ray, this track is sure to make much more than just a flash in the pan.
To many, the life of a rapper seems to illustrate so much of what typifies the American dream; fast cars, jewelry and seemingly endless amounts of cash. 2022 has been anything but a dream for Wakko; just a few months ago he was the victim of a serious assault that left him hospitalized which was heavily covered in the national news. It is events such as these that highlight the high-octane but dangerous lifestyles of artists such as Wakko. With events such as these, in hindsight, perhaps this release is more courageous than it may seem?
While so many emerging rappers will write about their hopes, dreams and ambitions what sets Wakko apart is that he is not simply just an act, but also an artist who lives the lyrics that he writes. With a debut LP ‘The Kidd that Did’ on the way, which features production from Gwala Keyz and Ricky Racks and a successful tour concluded opening for the legendary rap group Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony; Wakko has had a significant impact on the underground rap scene.
