In the wake of yesterday’s release, REASON returned to the scene with his latest single, “Impalas & Hydraulics,” which features The Game on the guest assist. On the upcoming sophomore album by the Top Dawg Entertainment signee, the collaboration will appear. The rapper REASON describes how his environment and influences shaped him into the person he is today over some production provided by Supah Mario:
As a West Coast kid, I grew up listening to this song. In a press release, Reason said: “Everything associated with that – low riders, Dickies, vatos – was a part of my childhood. “In my view, Game was the ideal individual to add to the list because when I think of that period, he encompassed all of those things. He heard it and realized that he knew which way to go and it fit.”
Ahead of its 2020 release, Reason released his debut album New Beginnings, which had 14 tracks and featured JID, ScHoolboy Q, Alemeda, Rapsody, Ab-Soul, Isaiah Rashad, and Mereba. As a result, he released No More, No Less: Demo 1 along with loose tracks like “Barely Miss” and “Extinct (Extended),” “Is What It Is,” “Churchill Downs Freestyle” featuring Jay Rock.
