Baton Rouge, LA rapper TEC has dropped his long-awaited Asylum/Atlantic debut project, Web Life Vol. 4, available everywhere now via Asylum/Atlantic HERE.
The album includes such ferocious new tracks as “Renegade (Feat. Fredo Bang),” “Oasis,” “Rewind,” “Die Rich II,” and “Ghetto Cinderella,” all joined an official music videos streaming now at YouTube HERE.
Multi-million streaming rapper, Spider Nation C.E.O., father of six daughters, owner of 11 tarantulas, and proud “poetic activist,” TEC has fostered an impressive independent movement boosted by tens of millions of views and streams along with high-profile praise from the likes of XXL, HipHopDX, and many others.
“I use the name ‘Poetic Activist’ because I’m speaking on other topics people aren’t speaking about in hip-hop,” TEC says. “I’m discussing other situations besides my car and jewelry. I’m trying to go back to real heartfelt music with substance and stories. It’s not just killing and money. I’ll speak on the trials and tribulations of where I come from and overcoming everything I’ve been on. When people tell me I helped them through their darkest moments, it makes my day.”
The Baton Rouge native scored his national breakthrough with 2018’s Web Life Vol. 1 and Web Life Vol. 2, the latter highlighted by such hits as “Bad Guy (Feat. YFN Lucci & Maine Musik)” and 1.6M-streaming “Plot Twist.” That same year also saw TEC’s “Thru the Storm” posting up another 3.7M Spotify streams. 2020’s Web Life Vol. 3 yielded the fan favorite “Marley Vibez (Feat. Money Man),” generating another 5.3M worldwide streams. TEC maintained this momentum with a pair of 2022 projects, Web The World – featuring guest appearances by Boosie Badazz, OMB Peezy, and Too $hort – and 800 Degrees. Having carefully cultivated a sharp signature style with idiosyncratic artistry and prolific output, TEC’s empire now grows even larger with Web Life Vol. 4 and much more to come.
