Coco Jones, the triple-threat multi-hyphenate actress, singer/songwriter and R&B’s new “It Girl” – named Best New Artist at last weekend’s BET Awards – adds another benchmark to an absolute breakthrough year with the announcement of her ‘WHAT I DIDN’T TELL YOU TOUR’ of North America. Coco’s 16-city ‘WHAT I DIDN’T TELL YOU TOUR’ of the U.S. and Canada will open on August 5^th in Ontario, California, and wrap up in Norfolk, Virginia, on September 3^rd. Opening for Coco will be Detroit R&B singer Ebony Riley (fka Riley Montana); joined on select dates by Seattle singer Haben Abraham, and by Coco’s fellow Peacock Bel-Air cast mate Simone Joy Jones.  (Please see complete itinerary below.)

In a highly competitive all-female field, Coco emerged as the Best New Artist winner at this year’s 23^rd annual BET Awards.  Putting an exclamation point on her win at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, Coco performed her mammoth hit single “ICU” (view the live performance HERE).  The BET Awardwin underscores the RIAA Gold certification of “ICU” two weeks ago, as the song hit #1 on both the Mediabase and Billboard Mainstream Urban Charts.

“Coco Jones won Best New Artist,” reported Billboard, “prevailing in an all-female field that included GloRilla and Ice Spice.  Jones is the first female R&B singer (as opposed to rapper) to win in this category since SZA five years ago.  This boosts Jone

Coco also received BET Award nominations this year in the fields of Best Female R&B/Pop, and Best Actress.  She was previously nominated as ‘Best New Artist’ at the BET Soul Train Awards ’22 (where she delivered a show-stopping performance of “ICU”); and won ‘Outstanding New Artist’ at the 54th NAACP Image Awards.

Named one of the Top 10 Best Songs of 2022 by The Hollywood Reporter, “ICU” is one of the focal tracks on WHAT I DIDN’T TELL YOU DELUXE EP.  Released via High Standardz/Def Jam Recordings in January, the EP has garnered over 265 Million global streams across all platforms.

For the Deluxe EP, Coco’s original debut EP’s seven songs – also including “Caliber” – were expanded with four new tracks, including “Double Back,”the follow-up single + video.  Also included was “Simple,” Coco’s duet collaboration with Babyface from his critically acclaimed Girls’ Night Out album.  Last week, a brand new performance video premiered for “Crazy For Me,” another track from the EP.

2023 has turned into a landmark year for Coco, who first broke into the entertainment scene as a young Disney star, went on to star in movies, then joined the cast (as ‘Hilary Banks’) in Peacock’s Bel-Air, the Fresh Prince reboot that premiered in February 2022.
