1.It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
Thank you. It’s an honor to be with you today. I go by the stage name Bawse Mane. (Boss main) I am originally from Miami, fl. I currently reside in Tallahassee, Florida. I have been on the music scene for a while now, where I got my first opening act show to perform in Fort Meyers opening up for Lil Wayne! The show was amazing! I was in a group at the time called the All-stars with my family, and we killed the stage. We sat backstage with lil wayne and other signed artists, ate catered food, and did live magazine and podcast interviews. That was the start for me to continue my journey as an artist and creator of music!
2.I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
As we all know, with success comes obstacles, and it was a bumpy road I had to travel. But with the 3 P’s , you can never go wrong… Prayer, persistence, and patience! A lot of times, it’s hard to get people to buy into something they are not familiar with, and that’s why a lot of artists look for features to get notoriety or Cosigns. But I got it out the mud and took the stairs and not the elevator! Djs wouldn’t play my music, promoters wouldn’t book me, but I kept going. Continued to pursue my goals and surround my talents around positive energy to get me to the next level.
3.Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I have many talents that I have been gifted with, but I specialize in songwriting and performing. I love the creative process when writing a song. It’s fun to put a masterpiece together. Sort of like putting a puzzle together. But my love is performing! I like to connect with the crowd on an energy level during my shows. It doesn’t matter if it’s 2000 people or 2 people, they are gonna get the same energy!
4.What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
The best advice I would give to anyone pursuing any type of success is to never give up. Keep pushing. Never be afraid to try something that you have never done before and fail. It takes for you to know what not to do in order for you to do things the right way. Always try to surround yourself with positive energy. You are the company you keep. If you hang around 4 drunks, you’re going to become the 5th one… but if you hang around 4 millionaires, you’re going to become the 5th one.
5.Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success comes from trying something over and over till figure out the formula of it. Success is trying again and again till you get it right. Success is not quitting or giving up on something you are working for or towards.
6.What’s next for you?
I am currently releasing a new single entitled “Ghetto”. This song is look into what goes on in the ghetto from day to day. But the message behind it is, you can be from the ghetto or the hood and have a different upcoming or lifestyle and still make it out and be successful. You can still be from poverty and make an impact on other people’s lives. All it takes is dedication and belief that God got you. He will pull you out of any storm, and let you enjoy the sunshine afterwards. This next visual for it will display all these things once it is released! I am so excited about this song because it will be my first single release this year. Once that one is done, I will have more music to follow with an untitled e.p. at the moment. Lol but stay tuned!!! Like coach Prime say… WE COMING!
