Shondell Coleman, also known as Luv Docta, was raised in less-than-ideal circumstances. Shondell, the sole son of a single Mother, who raised four children, had to deal with many hardships, such as homelessness and distressed, poverty ridden neighborhoods during his years of adolescence, in the streets of Chicago, Illinois. Luv Docta has always been deeply involved in music. His upbringing in Chicago created the mold for the artist he has become today. He began to learn the art of freestyling in 2010. It was in late 2019 that he progressed into taking his artistry seriously, as he began to invest more into his craft and announce his brand. Soon after the announcement, Elbert Muhammad (also known as Ybs Tsunami), with whom Luv had been friends and business partners for more than ten years, collaborated with Luv, as they founded their own independent label, Mud Life Records.
Luv Docta continues to stay in the public eye through releasing new music, touring, and spreading the Luv entertainment vibe.
