Icewear Vezzo is a force in his city’s rap scene, with hundreds of millions of streams to his name, but he has still never left where he came from, as proven by Live From The 6, his upcoming album. Live From The 6 is a down-and-dirty collection of sinister street stories, including recent singles “Love In The City,” “Back On Road” (2.1 million YouTube views) and “Raw ASL“ (2.3 million views). The upcoming project keeps things local, with the only featured verses coming from signees to Vezzo’s Iced Up Records label. The follow-up to last year’s Paint The City, a Gangsta Grillz mixtape hosted by DJ Drama, and his popular mixtape series Rich Off Pints, Live From The 6 arrives in the coming weeks via Iced Up Records/Quality Control Music.
Along with the official announcement of the tape, Vezzo shares “I Ain’t Mad At Ya,” a new music video. Produced by B Wolf, “I Ain’t Mad At Ya” is a sleekly propulsive minor-key rap ballad, his airy keyboards providing a canvas for Vezzo to paint on with his early life reflections and ambitious aspirations. In the video, directed by Richtown Magazine for IUR Films, Vezzo shows off his fleet of luxury vehicles before taking a tour around his home neighborhood.
