The premier force in hip-hop production over the past decade, Internet Money and Taz Taylor have defined the sound of the digital age. Recruiting two A-Listers to reminisce about times good and bad, the plaque-stacking artist-producer collective shares “I Remember,” their first new single of the year. The new song features the vocal talents of Roddy Ricch and Kodak Black, the former providing a soaring hook about hard lessons learned in the trenches. Produced by Dyryk, DJ Showtime, Nick Mira, Nash, Cxdy, E-Trou, and Taz Taylor, “I Remember” glistens with the high fidelity for which Internet Money is known, layering rippling piano with atmospheric electric keys and trunk-rattling 808s. Together, the army of IM producers provide Kodak and Roddy with a downtempo, radio-ready anthem equally fit for a mosh pit or smoke sesh.
“I Remember” is Internet Money’s first song of 2023 as a lead artist–the opening salvo in what’s shaping up to be another banner year. Last year, Internet Money shined a spotlight on some of the underground’s most exciting artists on the We All We Got EP. The tape featured star turns from the likes of Yeat, Lucki, Ken Carson, and Destroy Lonely, alongside songs with frequent Internet Money collaborators Lil Tecca and Lil Yachty. Internet Money charted on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Flossin,” their luxurious collaboration with YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Since the EP’s August release, Internet Money has remained in the charts, with credits on certified records like Lil Uzi Vert’s top ten Billboard smash “Just Wanna Rock,” Drake & 21 Savage’s “BackOutsideBoyz,” Destroy Lonely’s “NOSTYLIST” and “NEVEREVER,” Ken Carson & SoFaygo’s “HELL YEA,” and many more.
Since its formation in 2015, Internet Money has been an elite tastemaking and hitmaking faction with tremendous influence in the rap game. The collective scored one of the biggest rap hits of the decade so far with “Lemonade” ft. Gunna, Don Toliver & NAV, recently certified 4x Platinum by the RIAA and still racking up millions of streams per week, and followed it up with the GOLD certified “His & Hers,” a sparkling collab with Don Toliver, Gunna, and Lil Uzi Vert. Taz Taylor earned a reputation as one of the industry’s elite developers of talent, discovering and nurturing chart-breaking talents like Juice WRLD, Lil Tecca, iann dior, and many others. Taylor is the CEO of Internet Money Records, a joint venture with 10K Projects, which is developing the next generation of rap superstars. The Internet Money Records roster includes promising youngsters like the melodic master Dro Kenji, rising Georgia trap star Rot Ken, and the newest signee, Rich Amiri, whose recent single “Poppin” ft. Lil Tecca has over 1 million streams in just three weeks.
With much more music on the way, Internet Money looks to expand their empire even further in 2023. Stay tuned for many more announcements.
