Jah King had always been around music even at an early age. When he was young he remembers cleaning up at home while listening to his mom play really cool music. Going to Church is what stamped the interest of music for Jah King. His stepdad was a talented drummer and pianist which would influence Jah more than he would know.
When Jah was in highschool, there was a small group of rappers that had a little buzz but he thought their music was weak and that he could do better so he ended up trying it for himself and the confidence just grew from there after receiving positive feedback from peers saying he was good. Jah had a friend that was into music too so the two would go to his house after school and make tracks.
When asking Jah about how he would describe the music he creates, he replied, “My music flows and it’s catchy, you can play on the go anywhere. Some real player vibes. Melodie’s and vocals for the girls.” Jah is in hopes of collaborating with Roddy Ricch, A-Boogie or even Toosii.
The road to success hasn’t been easy for Jah but with one key phrase he took to heart as advice for a lifetime, “Don’t let small minded people hold you back from what you are trying do.” Jah would go on to create hit after hit captivating new fans with every release.
