Lil Walt is a cross-over hip-hop and R&B artist born Walter Nieto on November 5th, 1992 in New York City. He was raised in the Stapleton project buildings of Staten Island, home to a number of many other reputable acts such as the Wu-Tang Clan and Mack Wilds. His debut EP was released on July 17th, 2020, and features six self-written records that highlight the many sides of Walter’s ambitions in the music industry.
As a child, Nieto had an undying passion for sports, easily illustrated through his stage name and witty athletic references. His love for music was discovered one night as a teenager when a relative invited Walt to his home studio to experiment with recording. Nothing would be the same since as Walter would work endlessly to sharpen his writing and recording abilities.
Some of Walt’s biggest influences are icons like Lil Wayne, Drake, and Marques Houston. His lyrical ability can be described as seasoned and clever while his true strong point is seen in his shining vocal takes. Known for his lone-wolf aesthetic and creative songwriting, Lil Walt is poised to make some big noise this year as he begins to roll out his newest releases.
