A Nation Music is proud to announce the upcoming release of rapper GreenEyez second full-length project in just two months. 2 Much Motion, which has hit all streaming platforms today, March 24, 2023, serves to introduce this rising superstar to the rest of the world in a way that even his current fans have yet to hear.
After releasing a compilation of songs recorded throughout the course of his young career in late 2022, GreenEyez embarked on a mission to intentionally shift his music into a new space. 2 Much Motion finds the Shreveport, Louisiana native embracing all of the sounds and experiences that have impacted his life. The beats combine the sounds of traditional Louisiana bounce and Hip Hop into the 21st century with a touch of drill sounds and cadences, with GreenEyez’ vocals serving as the additional instrument on every track. The lyrics are not only well crafted, delivered in a way that almost sneaks in the aggression and passion in his voice, thanks to the rapper’s masterful ability to make it seem like it’s all fun and games… until you pay attention. At its core, however, 2 Much Motion is a celebration of success and the freedom it brings. Both the title track and the lead single “I’m With All That” find GreenEyez settling into a life full of choices he might not have had before.
Shortly after releasing the song, GreenEyez put his music to the test in front of the global Hip-Hop audience commanded by popular Instagram blog @FamousAnimalTV. His energetic performance of “I’m With All That” has garnered over 10,500 likes and 178,000 views to date, with over 500 positive comments from fans eager to hear more from this superstar in the making. For four years, rapper GreenEyez imagined the life he is living today while counting down to his release from a Louisiana prison. Serving a sentence connected to a robbery gone wrong, the young Shreveport native’s main source of encouragement was his older cousin, who had already begun making a name for himself on the regional rap scene. At 22, GreenEyez returned to freedom not only determined to make it in the music business, but also ready to test and prove his skills as an artist. Upon his release, he immediately began putting in the work to become one of the most promising voices in his city and beyond. Regional hits and performances soon followed, with the young rapper even opening for the likes of Boosie Badazz and performing at Southern University’s homecoming concert. Unfortunately, as GreenEyez reflects, “When you’re young and you living fast, what’s happening in the here and now is what you’re most focused on.” In 2020 and 2021, he found himself still dealing with ramifications of street life and some of the decisions his circumstances had forced him to make at a younger age.
Today, GreenEyez finds himself not only free and clear of any obligations to the criminal justice system, but also ready to make his mark on the game. GreenEyez hopes this project inspires others in his hometown to reach for new heights. “Coming from where we come from, people don’t believe,” he explains. “I’ve always believed I could get up out of here, I’ve always believed I was bigger than what was around me. That’s what keeps me motivated.”
