The rising artist known as Kindness, The Doer is collectively making strategic advances and strong career moves that are defining his place in the Christian rap industry.
August Russell aka Kindness, the Doer has an upcoming album scheduled for Christmas 2022 release date. It will include such hits as “End of Days”, “Bablyon USA”, “WWJD?”, “Psalm 23” & “I Wanna Be Saved”.
This is the first highly anticipated professional project coming from this artist. He’s released many mixtape online and has great success in making a name for himself in the local and broader music scene.
He began rapping in 2013 and has come close to several major record deals and opportunities. Kindness is very familiar with Los Angeles, CA & he travels there frequently.
In April of 2021, he came across a situation which put his future at stake. Having been homeless for a short period he got attacked at knife point in downtown LA at 1:00am.
“The attackers cornered me, they had knives, and were making threats. Saying I was dead and not leaving that street, repeatedly”.
He felt the grace of God bring him out of the situation. And he was able to throw him his belonging right before they were about to stab him.
“I knew I was coming close to my end. It was all such an adrinilien powered moment that I was just going to say my last prayer to God and fight for my life.”
Seconds before death he was able to get out of it by throwing them his belongings and they took it and ran.
August was severely injured in his right knee during this incident. His leg broke in half and he wasn’t able to walk.
“My leg was broken. I was in critical condition. I was lying in the middle of the street. But I was able to crawl to the local apartment complex where, after begging for my life, they were able to call an abulance”.
