Highlighting a work ethic as abundant as his lyrical wit, YTB Fatt continues to show why he’s built to go the distance with his recent streak of “Fatt Tuesday” singles. Taking a slight departure from his usual hard-nosed street raps for a more risqué, tongue-in-cheek vibe, the Bread Gang rapper shares his brand new video single, “Backstabbin.” Kicked off by a creeping, jazz noir-sampling instrumental, produced by Go Grizzly, that perfectly sets the track’s dark seductive tone, “Backstabbin” finds Fatt boasting about his prowess through the lens of its titular innuendo. Though Fatt never uses the term in the sense of betrayal, his player lifestyle makes it difficult to avoid: “I won’t lie, if I find out you f*cking off, all of this sh*t getting canceled/Next day, whole new b*tch in the Phantom.”
Arriving with a brand new music video, “Backstabbin” is YTB’s third consecutive “Fatt Tuesday” single in the run-up to his full-length debut, Who Is Fatt?. The new tape is home to the recent single “Bet I Whip It” ft. Rob49, which racked up well over 500k YouTube streams in its first week, as well as his collaboration with Big Homiie G the week prior on “Us,” which earned over 1M YouTube views in its first two weeks. Featuring a guest appearance from his mentor Moneybagg Yo, the ice cold Who Is Fatt? mixtape arrives soon via Loaf Boyz Ventures / 10K Projects .
Born and raised in West Memphis, Arkansas, just across the Mississippi from the Tennessee rap hotbed, YTB Fatt burst onto the scene in March 2023 with his debut single, “Shot Off Gumbo,” which quickly climbed to over 4.9M YouTube views with the help of Bread Gang head honcho Moneybagg Yo, who features on the track. In April, Fatt followed up with “Get Back,” which boasts over 4.6M YouTube views, and along with his debut single helped him land major co-signs from artists like Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Rod Wave, and more in recent weeks.
Stay tuned for more from the Bread Gang riser as the summer continues!
