21 Lil Harold, the Atlanta-bred star and standout member of 21 Savage’s Slaughter Gang/Epic imprint, returns today with his new single, “Doze Off,” an end-of-year punctuation to what’s been an impressive campaign for the fast-rising artist
The new track is produced by TKTK, and marks Harold’s first new music since the release of his latest project, the Sick of Myself EP, which arrived in May of this year.
Harold’s ear for menacing production makes a dazzling appearance on “Doze Off,” a sinister cut that evokes a mood diametrically opposite to drowsy. Paced by mesmerizing percussion, Harold slickly glides through the pockets of his new single, painting eye-popping images in the process. “Pull up, do a drill with the doors off n***a,” the song’s contagious refrain, is a shining example.
Harold’s new music comes at the culmination of what’s been the most successful campaign of his career. After appearing on 21 Savage’s chart-topping american dream album and performing at his homecoming shows in London in Dec. ‘23, Harold toured the world with Savage as a supporting act on his American Dream Tour this spring.
Concurrently, Harold released Sick of Myself in May, his most heralded and star-studded work to date, featuring fan-favorites like “Sundown,” “One in the Head,” and “Gin & Juice,” and guest contributions from J.I.D., G Herbo, Quavo, and BigXThaPlug.
