Jersey City Gladiator Albee Al returns with his newest album Koba’s Coming. The thirteen-track album displays Albee’s confidence in how he can take over the rap game and his ability to stay true to himself. Koba is a nickname that Albee has referenced himself through several projects such as FREE THE REAL and the 2019 album titled Koba.
Albee Al dropped two singles before the album’s release, “No Hook Po” and “Shots To His Face” featuring Arsonal Da Rebel. In “Shots To His Face,” Albee and Arsonal go back and forth, trading bars about going through betrayal and hardships.
Albee does show a lighter side in the song “No Problem.” The song is an ode to a loyal ride-or-die woman who held him down through rough times. The song also discusses how he moved on from an ex and tells his current woman, “Baby be my peace. I already fight depression. Money is the root of evil, but sometimes a blessing. Swear I’m too lit to be worried about my exes. Confident I’m the one, so there ain’t no guessing, I just got a few questions…”
The album contains additional features from Rob49, Fivio Foreign, PnB Rock, Lil Tjay, Dave East, Millyz, and Leaf Ward. Koba’s Coming is Albee Al’s story of perseverance and consistency in the rap game, which states that he’s not leaving anytime soon.
