Righteous, Pro Logic, DJ Ron Nelson and Mr. Q are bringing the heat this summer with a funk Boogie Vibe. The track is appropriately titled “And When We Party…” It pays homage to two Canadian trail blazers “Mr. Q” and “Ron Nelson”.
Mr. Q was known for the single “Ladies Delight”. It is widely regarded as the first Canadian rap record. Ron Nelson is known for “The Fantastic Voyage Program” CKLN 88.1 FM. Toronto’s first rap radio show.
“And When We Party…” is certainly a club banger and absolutely deserves air play on radio stations worldwide. These gentlemen have something special here. For this track to go unnoticed by music directors would be tragic. It’s unlike what mainstream radio is currently playing and it’s refreshing. Hip Hop needs this.
The video for “And when We Party…” is well executed and really compliments the song. Prince Beats made sure he captured the essence of a roller skating jam. This is one of those events I regret missing. It looked like one hell of a party! Enjoyed seeing Cameos from Es, Len-Dor, Fraction and Joga Basics. I actually felt like roller skating after seeing the video.
