Coming into the first quarter of the year strong, bubbling Brooklyn artist Mophead TBC (MOP) has released a slew of singles and videos. Keeping consistent, the most recent release “Punchin In” featuring BB Simon kind of seals the deal for his busy run since the top of the year. A follow up to singles like “GWALLA” and “PURSES”, MOP has tons more in the tuck for supporters and new listeners to catch onto. Generally a fun, flashy and clever lyricist, MOP’s entire aesthetic, even down to the beat selection is truly authentic — especially coming out of Brooklyn, NY in his era.
New York City is the birthplace of hip-hop and the pillar of its culture, and MOP is one of many to continue the legacy in its 50th year, proudly built from the ground up in those same streets. Inspired by the culture at an adolescent age, MOP entered his path as a recording aritst back in his early teenage years and has yet to step back. A true busy body within these last few months, MOP has performed at an exclusive show in Brooklyn, and can even be seen alongside Frank Beats in a new “Unprescribed” scenario.
Prepared to take over the airwaves in this coming year, be sure to follow up with Mophead TBC below for more!
