Canada-based production powerhouse, 7 Gate Records, has recently unleashed a scorching new dancehall creation titled Paradise Riddim.
The dynamic nine-track compilation showcases the musical prowess of several artists associated with the label, featuring talents such as Keywee, JRDN, Tina B, Fully Bad, Cashwayne, Legato, Grantie Asher, Planky Don, and Hummingbird Leleh. Released in February, this project embodies the label’s commitment to delivering top-tier productions with artists hailing from diverse corners of the globe.
“7 Gate Records is not bound by borders; we strive to craft exceptional projects with gifted artists from around the world. The Paradise Riddim exemplifies our vision, bringing together voices from Jamaica, Canada, the US, Africa, and England,” stated George Welcome, CEO of the label.
Looking ahead, Welcome disclosed that 7 Gate Records is poised to unveil an EP for Keywee, a talented artist under their wing, later this year.
“Since our inception in 2018, our mission has been to nurture and showcase emerging talent. The forthcoming EP for Keywee underscores our unwavering dedication to this goal. Our entire team is thrilled about this venture and eagerly anticipates the global reception it will receive from music enthusiasts,” he remarked.
Furthermore, Welcome outlined the label’s ambitious plans for future collaborations, hinting at potential projects with stalwarts of the dancehall and reggae scene, including Vybz Kartel and Ginjah.
George Welcome, the visionary behind 7 Gate Records, not only spearheads the label but also holds ownership of the esteemed Toronto-based sound system, Quantum.
