Growing up in the inner city streets of Philadelphia, Ksove149—an artist, producer, and boxing trainer—faced an array of challenges. Amidst the stark realities of drugs, jail, and limited job opportunities, he has emerged as a beacon of resilience and hope. With a decorated career as an amateur boxer, including several Sugar Bert championships, his journey took a drastic turn following a major health scare that reshaped his life’s path.
Ksove149’s story is one of determination and perseverance. Despite the odds, he managed to survive eight heart attacks and underwent open heart surgery in 2017. His battles with stress, depression, and the streets of Philadelphia are a testament to his strength. “Being a black man in America is a struggle within itself,” he says, emphasizing the adversities he faced. Yet, through the grace of God, he bounced back, channeling his experiences into founding the Guard Your Heart Initiative—a nonprofit dedicated to creating heart health awareness.
Post-surgery, Ksove149 discovered a new passion: music. His love for the stage and the cathartic process of writing music led him to win several open mic contests. He released singles such as “Playground,” “I’m Ok I’m Not Ok,” and “Beautiful Catastrophe,” with a mixtape on the horizon. Through his art, he hopes to inspire others to fight for their happiness and never give up, stating, “Sometimes you gotta fight for what makes you happy. Don’t quit!”

He aspires to revolutionize heart health and heart study through his initiative, impacting humanity positively. “My true purpose is the Guard Your Heart Initiative,” he shares, envisioning a future where heart health awareness becomes a global priority.
