Captivating with his raw and passionate street raps, Icewear Vezzo dives deep into the gritty realities of his life. He shares “Aiight” featuring Peezy, his new single. Trading bars over a classic Detroit-style beat, the rappers deliver an iced-out charismatic performance that highlights their raw lyrical prowess and unfiltered narratives. In the accompanying music video, directed by Suave, Vezzo sits down with a therapist, candidly discussing his ‘problems’ which include filling his hands with diamonds, spending cash on glocks, putting tags on opps, and dropping $40K on a watch. Peezy joins in on the action, taking his turn in the therapist’s armchair to boast about his relentless ambition and hustle, waking up every day just to chase the paper. The video creatively visualizes their therapy sessions in juxtaposition with the rappers posted up with their crew by an idyllic suburban mansion, adding a unique twist to the themes of wealth, power, and survival.
“Aiight” is one of many singles that Vezzo has dropped following the release of his prolific album, Live From The 6. Live From The 6 is a down-and-dirty collection of sinister street stories, alternating raw hustler’s anthems that elucidate the mindset required to escape rough circumstances with thoughtful reflections on the toll life on the streets take on those who make it out. The album features appearances from DaBaby (on recent single “Perfect”) and YTB Fatt (on street hit “Come Outside“), and rolls out the red carpet for Vezzo’s fellow 6 Mile native: Detroit star Babyface Ray. The culmination of Vezzo’s evolution from street-level hustler to a global ambassador for Detroit rap, Live From The 6 is available everywhere via Iced Up Records/Quality Control Music.
