Although Ara Queen Bae (@araqueenbae) is currently a successful Instagram model, she didn’t always have the confidence she has now. When her family moved to Canada from Iran when she was 10, it was to give her a better life. But junior high and high school weren’t the easy path that they should have been.
Kids can be awful. Bullying has become a pandemic that’s only getting worse as time goes on. Almost every young boy and girl has to deal with childhood bullies, and Ara Queen Bae was no different. Looking at her photos today, it might seem difficult to imagine that this model struggled with her confidence. But Ara Queen Bae endured her fair share of bullying comments from peers about her looks and her sexuality.
Sexuality is something that Ara Queen Bae definitely embraces today, but when she was younger it made her a target. Kids would bully her for being “sexy”, spreading false rumors about her around the school. Eventually, the bullying got to the point where it began to affect her mental health. She began to dread going to school and dealing with the bullies in her life. Social media provided an outlet for her and quickly became her passion.
Almost everyone deals with bullying, whether you’re a girl or a boy. Ara Queen Bae has a clear message for any young girls or boys who are being bullied: life will get better.

Ara Queen Bae is a lot more than an Instagram model with a huge following. She’s started coaching other new models, helping girls set and achieve their own goals and dreams. She’s also an entrepreneur who’s started a company called Girls Gone High as well as several other upcoming projects. Ara Queen Bae shows no signs of slowing down, continuing to feature in magazines and music videos while pursuing numerous endeavors.
