CBFW supergroup member alongside Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, Veeze, Rylo Rodriguez, and EST Gee, Noodah05 has just shared his highly-anticipated mixtape 5 MIN OF FAME, along with a new video for “Goin Down”. The project follows a strong run of 2024 singles, including his recent link-up with Hunxho for the Valentine’s Day-themed song “Pretty Girls Don’t Cry”, “Love Songs In Miami”, and most recently, 5 MIN OF FAME‘s lead single “Party”. Since his 2020 breakthrough hit “Wild Child” featuring his label boss Lil Baby (25M+ Streams), Noodah has emerged as a secret weapon of Atlanta’s Hip-Hop scene – incorporating elements of R&B and Blues to morph his soulful singing and blunt rapping cadence into a genre-defying sound. Garnering over 200 Million Streams in the process, Noodah has used his steady stream of releases and collaborations with fellow heavy-hitters like Rylo Rodriguez (“Tameka” – 4M+ Streams) and Rob49 (“M’s Coming”) to deliver elastic melodies and introspective lyricsm while championing the underground spirit of his city’s street rap scene. Staying true to his goal of releasing a new project each year, 5 MIN OF FAME follows up 2023’s Bigger Now, which boasted features from Lil Baby, Rylo Rodriguez, Rob49 and Lil Double O. Embodying Noodah05’s underdog status within the ATL scene, 5 MIN OF FAME delivers a healthy balance of both his melodic sound, and his hard-hitting braggadocios side – with his vulnerable lyricism tying it all together.
Fusing elements of classic R&B harmonies with the grittier flows characteristic of Atlanta rap, 5 MIN OF FAME finds Noodah05 challenging traditional genre boundaries with innovative soundscapes that walk the line between hip-hop and soul. Produced entirely by his frequent collaborator Chichi, 5 MIN OF FAME marks the rapper’s first tape without features — allowing the entirety of the spotlight to shine on Noodah05 and his determination to break out of his city. While Atlanta rap is experiencing a shift towards a more hardcore regional style, Noodah is continuing to subvert mainstream influence by infusing the city with his melodic sound — building a reputation as a true underdog of the ATL Hip-Hop scene. Following his signing to Lil Baby’s label in 2020, Noodah has since performed on Baby’s IOU Tour, received critical acclaim from the likes of Lyrical Lemonade and iHeart, and performed unreleased fan-favorite “Chronicles” during a recent performance at The Pink House in his hometown, continuing to make a name for himself as a tastemaker of next-gen ATL rap.
