20-year-old rapper and inaugural Great Day Records signee SheedTs has just shared his new EP After It’s All Done along with an accompanying music video for new single “SZA”. A melodic track backed by wavy synths and a minimalist beat, “SZA” finds its roots in SheedTs’ smooth vocals and raw confessionals. The EP arrives on the heels of the project’s buzzy lead single, “Situationships”, released last month. Hailing from South Philadelphia, SheedTs first gained momentum in 2021 with breakout track “Eversince”, which earned him his first co-sign from podcast host Gillie Da Kid. Projects 2 Sturdy and 5ive followed in 2022, quickly catching the attention of record executive Baroline Diaz. In 2023, Diaz launched her new label Great Day Records, announcing SheedTs as her first artist.
Known for his melodic production style and compellingly sensitive lyricism, recent months have seen SheedTs earn co-signs from the likes of Veeze, Friday, and Rob49 and collaborate with artists such as G Herbo on “Remember” (3.3M+ Streams) and Babyface Ray (“Changes”). With the release of 2023 mixtape C My Side and its accompanying deluxe, SheedTs amassed over 1 million first month streams, garnered acclaim from Pitchfork, Billboard, and BrooklynVegan, and found commercial success as a lead solo artist with songs like “LUV IS WAR” (3.5M+ Streams) and “It’s TS” (2M+ Streams). Now with new EP After It’s All Done, SheedTs is continuing his hot streak — and making his case as one of 2024’s must-watch young artists.
