Fresh off of releasing last month’s full-length project Art of War, Detroit rapper Talibando has just shared his new video “Slurred Words”––out now via EMPIRE. Art of War marked Talibando‘s first effort of 2024, with features from Veeze, Payroll Giovanni, and Trigga500K––delivering tales of struggles and success through his signature reclined cadence and effortless flow over soulful production. After 2023 saw him release WAR LORD, which boasted guest appearances from Veeze, LUCKI, BabyTron, and Babyface Ray, plus Pyrex Kids (featuring the likes of Boldy James and Wizz Havinn), Talibando has been on an exceptional run this year––opening for Veeze on his Ganger Tour and making his first appearance with On The Radar.
Talibando initially began to turn heads within the Michigan rap scene and beyond with projects like E S 7 M and Navy Music, before releasing his breakthrough tape, the aforementioned WAR LORD, last year. In addition to “Last of a Dying Breed”, recent months have also seen him release singles “S680” with Veeze, “Navy Membership”, and “Money for War”. Now with the release of Art of War, Talibando is ready to keep his hot streak going — and prove his staying power as one of the most prolific artists coming out of Detroit.
