Tone P & Tha Carry Out are rewriting the rules of music with their latest EP, “GOGOPUNK.”
Released Friday (March 29), the EP seamlessly blends the infectious rhythms of go-go music with the raw energy of punk, creating a genre-defying sound that is uniquely their own.
Featuring standout tracks like “Black Heart,” “Thee Other Side,” “1901,” “Speedin,” and “Shoot Out” featuring Roc Mikey, the EP showcases the band’s ability to push boundaries and challenge conventions.
Lou, the bass guitarist of the band, shared his thoughts on the release, saying, “It feels good to have new music out there for the world to hear. I want fans to know that this is the most real and honest nature of the band. With hard work and patience, we were able to tell our stories through music our way!”
“It’s one thing to blaze your own lane but it’s a different feeling being able to sit back and see how the world relates and connects to you through the music,” added drummer Fat Dawg.
With its pulsating beats, infectious melodies, and thought-provoking lyrics, “GOGOPUNK” is poised to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression on the music scene.
“I hope that fans can hear the music and connect with it on another level,” said guitarist Hendrixx. “Turn up.”
“Feels good to release music that, to me, will stand the test of time and relates back to the roots of our musical inspirations and backgrounds which represent where we are from,” said lead vocalist Tone P. “This is our first step in taking go-go to the Grammys our way, collectively with the entire city on our back.”
Released by District Funk Records, “GOGOPUNK” is set to make waves in the music industry and solidify Tone P & Tha Carry Out as trailblazers in the realm of genre-bending music.
