Tearing up the Panhandle with his neck-snapping rhymes, Monticello’s Trigga500k is the next Flroida rapper to rise from the streets to the charts. Connecting with a fellow spitter from Sunshine State, Trigga recruits BossMan Dlow for “Ain’t Goin,” his impossibly hard new video and single. Both rappers are from smaller cities in the state (Trigga is from Monticello, a small town approximately 30 minutes east of Tallahassee, while Dlow’s Port Salerno is a two hour drive north of Miami), and they have a chip on their shoulder, knowing they’ve had to work twice as hard to earn recognition from their peers.
In the video, directed by AdamKG, Trigga and Dlow hold court in a deserted parking lot, as they count thier racks and flash their ice, knowing that regular folks can’t compare.
“Ain’t Goin” continues a hot streak for Trigga500k, who has emerged as one of the hottest rappers in a fruitful Florida scene. He first caught attention with his 2022 hit “Ether,” which has over 2.2 million views on YouTube and earned Trigga a deal with EMPIRE. He followed in 2023 with his debut album, Trimmer Den Ever, which racked up over 16.7 million organic streams in its first four months, powered in part by his viral hit “Havin Motion,” which has over 6 million streams across platforms. “Havin Motion” became an anthem across the south, earning Trigga cosigns from the likes of Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, Moneybagg Yo, Skilla Baby, Lil Scrappy and Meek Mill, among others, and leading to a 22-date headlining tour in 2024.
With more dates on his tour and his new collaboration with BossMan Dlow out now, Trigga is primed to parlay his regional fame into national recognition. Stay tuned for more.
