Harlem, NY – September 24, 2025 – Harlem lit up in a major way as the Africans For Africa Global Launch Affair took over the Renaissance NY on 125th Street. This wasn’t your average black-tie function—it was a night where Harlem swagger met African excellence, with leaders from across the globe sharing the room with some of the culture’s most respected names.

The evening was hosted by Andre Roberson (Vice Chairman of the Global Council & Global Lead for Africans For Africa) and Mark Bullock (GR-Council Member & CEO of Africans For Africa). From the start, guests were welcomed with complimentary drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and smooth sounds that set the tone for a classy, yet undeniably Harlem night.

But Harlem always makes sure the culture is felt. Bevy Smith, DJ Webstar, and the legendary Dapper Dan showed love, making the night feel like a true Harlem homecoming. Dapper Dan’s presence was a reminder that Harlem is more than a location—it’s a cultural force that connects style, music, and movement to the world.

Africans For Africa’s mission is about linking the continent with its diaspora through progress, cultural empowerment, and collaboration. And on this night, Harlem embodied that vision. With Hip-Hop born in the Bronx and Harlem as one of the culture’s strongest pillars, the mix of African leaders and Harlem legends made it clear: Hip-Hop and Africa are locked in the same global story.
