Katherine K. Nunez, a Latina American actress of Dominican and Spanish descent, has taken another bold step forward in her multifaceted career with the launch of Tales of a Latina Girl, a talk series she created, executive produced, and now hosts. The show, which premiered July 18, 2025, on YouTube, is already being recognized as a groundbreaking platform for honest conversations and cultural celebration.
A native of Weehawken, New Jersey, and a mother of two, Nunez has always embodied resilience. Her journey began in the world of modeling and music videos, where she appeared in visuals for artists such as Ludacris and Shaggy. Her work as a video vixen led to magazine features in publications like Naluda Magazine, Validated Magazine, and El Especialito. But rather than staying confined to one lane, Katherine transitioned into acting and began securing roles in films that resonated with audiences across urban streaming platforms. Her performances in Pocket Full of Game 1 & 2, Better Than My Last, and A Father’s Pride showcased both her talent and her determination to represent Latina women with strength and depth.
With Tales of a Latina Girl, Katherine now uses her voice to spotlight the stories of others. The series opens with a powerful interview with media icon Kim Osorio, whose career has been instrumental in shaping Hip-Hop journalism. Other guests this season include outspoken comedian Rose “Black Rose” Severino, respected radio host and media executive Honey German, rising Hip-Hop artist Genesis “Genny Genn” Paredes, Emmy Award-winning choreographer and community leader Violeta Galagarza, and creative director Cesar “CZ” Alvarez. Each conversation explores themes of identity, generational trauma, creative purpose, and the unique challenges faced by Latinx individuals navigating industries that don’t always make space for them.
“This show is about reclaiming our narratives,” Katherine explains. “It’s a celebration of resilience, culture, and ambition.”
The production of the show matches its powerful message. Shot at Sveta NYC and produced by DC of Relentless Media, the series features cinematography and sound direction by Frank Blenman, with editing by William Henriquez. Katherine’s wardrobe styling—featuring looks from Shop Akira, Shein, and local independent designers—adds a striking visual aesthetic. Makeup was handled by Lina Collado and hair by the stylists at Moxie Edgewater, ensuring every guest and moment on camera feels intentional and polished.
Tales of a Latina Girl is more than a talk show; it is a cultural statement. Following its premiere on YouTube, the series will also be available exclusively on Tubi, expanding its reach to an audience eager for authentic and underrepresented stories. In parallel with the show, Katherine is currently writing her autobiography, also titled Tales of a Latina, which will explore her own personal journey through adversity, motherhood, and growth.
Katherine K. Nunez is a woman of many titles—actress, influencer, mother, and now, media executive. Her new show solidifies her as a voice to be reckoned with, and one whose impact will be felt for years to come.
