Diamond Street Keem returns today with “Both Ways”, a gripping new single and self-directed visual that unpacks the harsh beauty of his North Philadelphia upbringing through the lens of resilience, caution, and community.
Shot entirely in the same neighborhood he came up in, the video is more than just scenery — it’s a statement. From calmly walking a horse through the block to getting a fresh cut outside and reflecting in the neighborhood park, Keem offers an unfiltered look at the life behind the bars. The presence of the horse — a symbol deeply tied to North Philly’s riding culture — adds a layer of historical pride to the narrative.
In the hook, Keem delivers a powerful warning:
“Before you jump in the streets you better look both ways / I pray all my n*ggas get rich and die from old age.” — It’s a mantra built on survival and hope, turning a cautionary tale into a street hymn.
A veteran of the grind, Keem started rapping at 17 during the SoundCloud era before catching major attention when he signed to Meek Mill’s Dreamchasers in 2019. Since that part of his journey, he’s steadily grown his artistry and sound resulting in solid body releases like Life of a Scapegoat (2023), Pray 4 Them (2024), Outta Reach (2024), Motion Muzik (2025), and more.
Now, backed by production from Swaggyono, “Both Ways” marks the next evolution of Keem’s artistry — one rooted in experience, intention, and leadership.
