HipHopSince1987 sat down with independent artist Kingsavy, who is steadily carving his lane in the music industry. With tracks available on YouTube and SoundCloud, Kingsavy has been pushing his sound and visuals to the world, sharing songs and full projects that reflect his journey, lifestyle, and influences. His dedication to the grind is evident, and his music videos, available on his official YouTube channel, showcase his evolving artistry and creativity.

We caught up with Kingsavy for an exclusive interview to talk about his inspirations, his creative process, and what’s next for him.

HipHopSince1987: For those who may not be familiar, who is Kingsavy?

Kingsavy: Kingsavy is an independent artist who is actively working on his music career and building his brand every day. I’ve been putting out music on YouTube and SoundCloud, and that’s where a lot of people can find my songs and albums. I really just want to keep growing and connecting with listeners through my work.

HipHopSince1987: What first inspired you to start making music?

Kingsavy: Honestly, music has always been in me. I would say I influenced myself first—just pushing myself to take this path. But outside of that, I grew up inspired by legends like Michael

Jackson, Bow Wow, Beyoncé, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Chief Keef, and also artists like Glorilla, Briya Jordan, Mayarra, and New Boyz. All of them have impacted the way I look at music and performance.

HipHopSince1987: Who do you feel your music speaks to the most?

Kingsavy: My music speaks to anyone who’s grinding, who’s been through ups and downs, and still pushing for something better. I want my sound to connect with people who need motivation and also those who just love good vibes.

HipHopSince1987: You mentioned your YouTube channel has the majority of your music videos. What role do visuals play in your artistry?

Kingsavy: Visuals are super important. They let me bring the songs to life in a whole new way. I feel like people connect more when they can see the emotion, the story, and the energy behind the music. That’s why I always put effort into my music videos.

HipHopSince1987: Being independent, what are some of the challenges and benefits you’ve experienced?

Kingsavy: The challenges are definitely having to do everything yourself—promotion, investing in your craft, and really finding ways to stand out. But the benefit is freedom. I get to control my sound, my vision, and my message without anyone watering it down.

HipHopSince1987: If you could collaborate with any artist on your list of influences, who would it be and why?

Kingsavy: Michael Jackson is the greatest to ever do it, so if he was still here, that would be #1. But from today’s scene, I’d say Beyoncé because of her work ethic and how legendary she is, or Chief Keef because he changed the culture in a huge way.

HipHopSince1987: What can fans expect from you in the near future?

Kingsavy: More consistency, more music, more visuals. I’m working on new projects right now, and I want to take my sound to the next level. The goal is to reach a wider audience and eventually turn this grind into a global movement.
