During Women’s History Month, it is only right to highlight women who are really outside doing the work and making a difference. Tawana Butler Batts and Tiffany Law, the partners behind LES in Harlem, are exactly that. For the past 10 years, they have been building something meaningful, and now they are celebrating a decade in business along with one year in their Harlem facility.
LES is not just a name or a space. It is a place people can come to for real help, real guidance, and real opportunity. Tawana and Tiffany have created an environment where individuals and families can access resources that support education, job readiness, and personal growth. Their consistency over the years has made a real impact, and the community continues to benefit from the work they have put in.

The support they have received from women in Hip Hop and media speaks volumes. Publicist Lynn Hobson, Car Queen Show star Ms Moe Money, Houston Hip Hop artist Lady Matt, Harlem media personality Bevy Smith, and on air personality Loren Lorosa have all shown genuine support for Tawana and Tiffany of LES, using their voices, platforms, and presence to encourage their continued growth and success.

That kind of support matters. It is a reminder that Hip Hop has always been about community and connection, and that women showing up for each other is powerful.

Tawana Butler Batts and Tiffany Law have stayed committed, stayed focused, and built something that is helping people in real life. Ten years in business and still growing, with a Harlem facility that reflects their vision and their purpose.
This Women’s History Month, Hip Hop Since 1987 salutes the women of LES and the women in Hip Hop who continue to stand beside them. This is what it looks like when women support women and truly mean it.
