As first reported by Black Cannabis Magazine, Bay Area rap legend B Legit is bringing his influence in both hip hop and cannabis culture to the Smoker’s Dream 420 Festival in San Francisco, joining forces with Ted’s Budz founder Theo “Cornfed Ted” Lewis and Berner for one of the city’s biggest cannabis celebrations of the year.

The event takes place April 20 at The Midway, where thousands of fans are expected to gather for a full day of music, cannabis culture, and community. Presented in part by Black Rain & All The Smoke, the platform created by former NBA champions Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, the festival reflects the growing connection between sports, hip hop, and cannabis entrepreneurship.

For B Legit, the event represents another extension of his long standing connection to cannabis culture. The Vallejo rapper, best known as a founding member of The Click alongside E-40, D-Shot, and Suga-T, has built a respected solo catalog while expanding his presence in the cannabis industry through his brand Be-La.

That presence will be front and center at the Smoker’s Dream Festival. B Legit has partnered with Ted’s Budz on several cannabis collaborations, including the popular strain Neck Bones & Turkey Legs. The festival will also mark the debut of their latest release, Bone Marrow, giving fans a first look at the new drop during the 420 celebration.

The working relationship between B Legit and Ted’s Budz extends beyond cannabis. The two previously collaborated on the song “Midwest to the Bay,” highlighting the connection between Lewis’s Midwest roots and B Legit’s Bay Area legacy.

While the track stands separate from their cannabis business partnership, it reflects the broader creative relationship that helped bring the Smoker’s Dream collaboration together.

Ted’s Budz has become one of the most recognizable Black owned cannabis brands operating in California’s legal market. Founded by Theo “Ted” Lewis, the company built its reputation by partnering with respected boutique cultivators and focusing on rare genetics rather than mass production. Today the brand can be found in more than 300+ licensed dispensaries across California, helping bring small batch flower to shelves statewide.
Also joining the lineup is Berner, the San Francisco rapper turned entrepreneur who helped reshape cannabis branding through his globally recognized brand Cookies. Berner has remained one of the most influential figures bridging hip hop and cannabis business, turning the brand into a lifestyle platform that spans retail, apparel, and music.
The Smoker’s Dream Festival is presented in part by All The Smoke, the cannabis brand connected to the popular sports and culture platform created by Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. The name first gained national attention through the All The Smoke podcast, launched in 2019, where the former NBA champions interview major athletes, entertainers, and cultural figures while discussing sports, business, and social issues.
Building on the success of the podcast, Barnes and Jackson expanded the brand into cannabis through a luxury line produced with Fillmoe Farms, reflecting their long standing connection to cannabis culture and their influence across sports and media.
Hosting the Smoker’s Dream Festival in San Francisco ties the event to one of the most historically important regions in cannabis culture. From early medical marijuana activism to the rise of global cannabis brands, the Bay Area has played a central role in shaping the modern cannabis movement.
With B Legit, Ted’s Budz, Berner, and All The Smoke all involved, the Smoker’s Dream 420 Festival represents a powerful intersection of hip hop legacy, cannabis entrepreneurship, and the culture that helped build both industries.
The Smoker’s Dream 420 Festival takes place April 20 from 2 PM to 10 PM at The Midway in San Francisco.
