Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre will host a milestone moment in hip-hop history next spring when Shyne returns to the stage for a headlining performance marking the 25th anniversary of his debut album. The Grammy-winning rapper is set to perform May 2, 2026, bringing his catalog back to New York for a rare hometown celebration in the Flatbush area, where he spent much of his youth. The concert will be his first major U.S. headline show since resuming public life stateside and will include special guests yet to be announced.

Shyne, born in Belize City and raised in East Flatbush, rose to prominence in the late 1990s and quickly became a defining voice of raw, street-centered rap. His self-titled debut album debuted near the top of the charts and produced multiple enduring tracks, cementing his place in the genre. In the years since, he has forged an unconventional path, transitioning from music stardom to public service as a member of Belize’s House of Representatives and leader of the opposition. The Brooklyn performance will spotlight that evolution, blending legacy, resilience and a return to the community that shaped his early life.
