As much of the nation is hiding under their covers for warmth, the (7-3) Kansas City Chiefs and the (0-10) Oakland Raiders will be kicking off week 12 of 2014 NFL season in the black hole.
This AFC West battle features two teams on two different paths. The Raiders are simply looking to get a win. With a record of (0-10), rookie quarterback Derek Carr hasn’t found a way to get his team their first win of the season. Rookie Raiders linebacker Khalil Mack has looked promising at times so the Raiders future could be bright but that has nothing to do with tonight’s game.
The Kansas Chiefs are looking strong as we enter the final 5 weeks of the NFL season. With a record of (7-3), the Chiefs are in good position to get home field advantage of they manage to end their season on a winning streak. Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith and running back Jaamal Charles have been carrying the Chiefs offense tonight could be the same.
I expect for this game to be one of the best on Thursday night football yet. Look for the Raiders to come close to winning for the first time this season. The Chiefs are looking to catch the Broncos and they will look to do that behind their running game. Charles will rush for over 100 yards and 2 touchdowns tonight. Alex Smith will also toss a touchdown to his tight end.
Raiders quarterback Derek Carr will toss two touchdowns and give the black hole crowd what they want to see tonight. The Raiders will play big tonight, not big enough to win though.
