Last night (Saturday, June 13) Lil Wayne took the stage of KMEL’s Summer Jam. During his set at Oakland’s Oracle Arena, Weezy said “I just signed a deal with my motherfucking idol, Jay Z.” Rumors quickly began buzzing on Twitter than Wayne was referring to Roc Nation since we already knew he inked a deal with TIDAL and of his issues with Cash Money. Today, Karen Civil confirmed on behalf of Lil Wayne that he was in fact talking about that deal and not signing to Hov’s record label. Watch below.
