Last night on The Tonight Show, a special tribute performance was given to ms. Nina Simone by the legendary Lauryn Hill. With it being very seldom for Lauryn to make any mainstream TV appearances, her performance went on to be a highlight of the many tributes pulled from the Nina Revisited… A Tribute to Nina Simone compilation, released in July.
Backed by a live band, Lauryn Hill revisited one of Nina Simone’s most notable records, Feeling Good, on the project, also accompanied by tracks performed by Usher, Jazmine Sullivan, Mary J. Blige, Common, & more.
