One of the largest cities in America, Philadelphia is known as the city of neighborhoods; each area contains its own unique culture and rules that is often seen as completely foreign to outsiders who live only a few blocks away. For some of the more impoverished inner city neighborhoods, they are plagued with drug use and rampant gun violence. Here these neighborhoods form a tight community that is often hostile toward outsiders, and is even more bitter toward law enforcement. The Last Ride takes the viewers into these inaccessible neighborhoods, following five individuals who despite their differences are united by the pain they’ve endured from the streets, and the love they’ve gained through dirt bikes. Street riding in Philadelphia is currently illegal; any previous efforts to create a legal motocross park in the city were stamped out, and law enforcement is utilizing their power to confiscate dirt bikes while arresting the riders. However, on the outskirts of the city, Cross Roads Motorsports has created a motocross racing team. Cross Roads, with help from an inner city community leader, asked Rell, Prince, Pupo, Jay, and Mont to represent their company on the racetracks. As these five individuals achieve success in motocross and legal stunt shows, will they be able to escape the streets of Philadelphia, or return home to more broken glass, police surveillance, and murder? Last Ride documentary aims to inspire and unite people from all parts of the world.
