Dallas Hip-Hop artist Rikki Blu is closing out the year with growth and success on his mind. Closing out year strong, Rikki Blu has jumped back in the booth with his latest album entitled “You Can’t Make Me”.
Rikki Blu is certainly not a rookie to the hip-hop world. You may not know from his down to earth, welcoming demeanor that he has performed on the same bills as the likes of Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, SZA, Nipsey Hussle, Isaiah Rashad, Curren$y, and the list goes on. Rikki has also journeyed through recognition in nearly any industry respected publications: The Source, Hot New Hip Hop, Sway’s Universe, 2DopeBoyz, ElevatorMag – to name a few. Rikki Blu’s talent has also been recognized with a sponsorship from Sprite soda via SoundCloud.
Blu’s debut album “You Can’t Make Me” was recorded, engineered, and produced completely in Los Angeles. The cohesive body of work highlights the growth in Rikki’s artistry and craft but also remains true to the same style which made his fan base as well as seemingly every person exposed to him so loyal and devout with support. He delivers a perfectly laid out message with a stunning, unique mixture of melodies, wordplay, bars, storytelling, and maybe most importantly, a clear-concise thesis. It is completely refreshing to hear an artist bringing a skilled delivery on par with any other lyricism, or “true spitter” with that of a completely unique sound developed with such diversity and originality.
