On Thursday August 29th, some of the biggest stars in Hip-Hop and R&B were in Atlanta, GA at the Byers Theatre – Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center for the 2019 BMI/Hip-Hop Awards.
The 2019 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards saluted the top songwriters, producers, publishers and administrators of the past year’s 36 most-performed R&B/Hip-Hop songs in the United States from BMI’s repertoire of more than 13 million musical works.
The night was also a celebration of R&B living legend Brandy Norwood as BMI honored her great career. As some of the BMI awards nominees and artist walked the red carpet before the BMI awards, Terrell Thomas spoke with music producer/ movie producer Zaytoven.
As he looks to expand his portfolio, Zaytoven spoke on his upcoming joint project with Hip-Hop artist Lil Boosie and why it made perfect sense for them to work together.
Looking forward to her performance, Zaytoven also spoke on Brandy’s great career, his favorite Brandy album, his series ‘Next Big Thing’ on BET and more.
