After a 5 game west coast road trip, the Hawks were looking to bounce back and start their current two game home stand on the winning side of things.
The Hawks started strong in the first quarter as rookie Cam Reddish scored the Hawks first basket on the night. After fighting to keep the game within reach early, the Hawks trailed after the first quarter (34-26). The Hawks put up a big second court and managed to take the lead before heading to halftime. After 12 point performances in the first half by both rookie Cam Reddish and rookie DeAndre Hunter, the Hawks went into the half up (61-58).
Reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokoumpo exploded in the second half of action. After just scoring 12 points in the first half, Giannis got it going on the offensive end scoring 21 points in the second half. Giannis finished the game with 33 points and 1 rebounds.
The Atlanta Hawks rookie were amazing tonight. DeAndre Hunter had a career night shooting (8-12) from the field for 25 points and 10 rebounds. Cam Reddish continues to grow and look more comfortable on the court. Reddish finished with 17 points.

The Hawks tried to cut into the lead late in the fourth quarter. With under 2:30 remaining in the game, the Hawks managed to cut the Bucks lead to 7 points. Within a minute of time, the Bucks had their lead back up to nine point (123-132) with 1:01 remaining. The Bucks never looked back.
Trae Young did what Trae Young does but it wasn’t enough to lead his team to a win against one of the best teams in the eastern conference. Young finished the night with 25 points and 8 assist.
Despite the Hawks lost, it was a fun night for Hawks fans. Not only were they treated to the first Hawks “Peachtree Night” where debuted a new Peach home court and peach and black Nike City edition uniforms, they also were treated to a concert.
Hip-Hop superstar 2 Chainz hit the court at half to perform a few hits and he was joined by his new TRU Records artist Sleepy Rose to perform their record “Georgia”.
